What I Like Most
The physical property is incredibly distinctive and unique in its own right, but what I like most about Colibri is the everchanging sky, the massive and expansive city views and the twinkling Los Angeles lights that take center stage. They are absolutely mesmerizing. From the awakening light at dawn to the exploding colors at sunset casting their glow over the iconic Hollywood sign and the Griffith Park Observtory, along with everything in between. Cats Cradle
The common area Observation Deck was designed by the Silver Lake firm, Warren Techentin Architecture and is called the Cat’s Cradle. The deck was designed to be the centerpiece and pulse of the Colibri project and encompasses inner and outer guardrail weaves of painted, polished steel. Cat’s Cradle is a functional, communal art installation that bubbles over with aromas of interconnectedness, inclusiveness and unity. Please see the architects notes below.
